So Mr J brought back the most beautiful flowers in the world and brought them back in a vase he bought just for the surprise, which would also suit our new place.
My first reaction was, "Are these from the office?" He quickly replied, "No. These are for you."
I couldn't believe my eyes so I asked again and again, "Are these office flowers? From the office? They are so pretty... How come you can bring them back... "
Mr J got a little insulted and annoyed, then looked me in the eye, "I'm serious. I bought flowers for you."
Then it started settling in. Ok, so my boyfriend of 19 months bought me flowers for the very first time, randomly, out of saja-ness... So random...
Before I could even grasp the idea wholly, he quickly said, "I didn't do anything wrong! I just thought it's nice to buy you flowers..."
You see, he has never bought me flowers and has always handed stuff he got from the office for me once he gets home, be it free shirts, stationeries, etc etc. So him coming back with flowers in a vase, didn't really click like it was a romantic gesture, more like an office thing.
Anyway, after that Mr J got a tad upset because I kept questioning if they are really purchased for me. LOL.
Yea, kind of an #epicfail moment.
Oh well. Mr J's endeavor to be a more "interesting" boyfriend has certainly impressed me at the same time a tad shocking, but also all in all, a pleasant surprise ;)
