Housewarming Month

Sorry I know I promised Kuching photos but they are all in Mr J's phone and the phone is not exactly the fastest running iPhone now.

This month is housewarming month and last night we had Mr J's Subang Utama clan over for housewarming cum potluck dinner and man, that was a feast!

I didn't manage to take photos of the feast but here's one I stole from Ms Charlotte-Glamorous:

Great company with great food!

Three more housewarmings to go this month and we're super excited to have everyone come over - by batches, of course...

Home Theme

Truth is, there is no theme and have never been.
Many have asked what concept did we adhere to - Answer is, nothing!

We just put together the things we like and it turned out to be, pretty dark...
The house is not complete yet and there are a few more things to add, replace and tweak - but we're too lazy to go around town to search for measurement-sensitive items and we are procrastinating a little - heh.

As for home, it is complete. #ohyeah

If you really want us to name a theme over it, it could be.... Contemporary-Classic-Noir..? I don't even know if this makes sense!

Wishlist for Housewarming

So everybody has been telling us to prepare a wishlist so that they know what to get for us.
Question is... How ridiculous can we go? hehehe #palmsrubbing

The place is almost complete and we are not lacking of any necessities, just missing out on some luxuries - So fret not, we will live well and strong.

As of now, we have too many furniture, too many things lying all over the place, and the place is bursting with a lot of love from our families and also not forgetting, my hoards over the past ten years.

I haven't actually driven out of home after a month of stay here because it's too nice to chill here! Ok I really love my place :D

We spent too much within the past five months and are still recuperating from the wallet hole *phew* And we are adamant not to spend anything luxurious anymore for the next few months. Reservoir gotta be replenished to be called a "reservoir", you see.

So if you really want to see a wishlist, here you go:

1. 60" LED TV
2. Ice Cream maker
3. Royal Doulton Dining Set
4. Zacapa Rum
5. Bottles of Port wine

A decent "wish"list, no? Oh yeah.

Family up in KL; New home and all

So my family sprung a surprise visit and Voila! They were up for the weekend!

Other than the fact that we did not have proper plates and napkins to host meals, nor do we even have a couch yet (delayed delivery! #$%&*^%$#), nor do we have enough dining chairs for everyone -- WE DID IT.

The dining set only arrived two days before they came and we were absolutely not prepared to host a family. Good thing they're my family who are, thankfully, very very understanding.

Three days two nights and my inadequate kitchen cooked up a feast for seven people:

Oh, and that was a quick teaser of the place - It's barely ready but oh well *shrugs*
It's not cement rendered wall - it's just bad photos. -_______-

Look at the faces of the hosts looking worn out. Meh.

So the rest of furniture will be arriving tomorrow --- *FINGERS CROSSED*
