26th Birthday Weekend Part I

I can go on and on about this weekend, and won't be able to finish or fully express my happiness in full detail! This marks the ninth year of my tenure in the bustling city. Eight years ago I came with no friends, no family, all alone in my dorm crying all to myself. Last night 16 of my closest bunch came to celebrate my 26th birthday. I have been down for a while thinking how little I have achieved at 26, but last night I realized that I have come a long way, and friends are my family away from home.

Where should I begin? I must tell you what I expected -- A hotel stay (as requested by me) and an awesome meal :) This whole birthday saga ended with more than what I could ask for!

Friday night I cooked up a pot of bitter gourd soup and some awesome pork curry to treat Mr J since he has preempted me what's gonna happen the next day, which includes blindfolding me the whole ride until I reach the hotel.

The next morning he woke up uber early (which is unlike him) and tapping non stop on his iPad. Anyway we packed up our things and all I had was a book, a dress, some casuals and my bikini set. Didn't think much so we left the house, I was blindfolded throughout the 1-hour journey. Carpenters and ABBA couldn't keep me awake for long! Soon I was half asleep in the car.

When he finally told me I could take down the blindfold, I anxiously took it down and tried absorbing what I could at that moment.. All I saw was --

I was in the car, looking pretty much closed up on the building and all I could think of is, "Where on earth am I....." I bet Mr J had a lot of fun seeing my WTF face =.=
We parked the car, got the bags out, walked into the hotel lobby, and I still don't know what hotel is it! Heck, there is no mention on the concierge, entrance lobby, uniforms, etc etc. Until right before we stepped into the hotel lift, I saw a digital board on the right with subtle branding -- "Pullman".

AH. I SEE.

I didn't know there's a Pullman in Putrajaya and I never knew about this hotel so I was kinda dumb. Got in the room and it started sinking in.......

Well, then Mr J's plan for us is to do what we do best -- Chill by the pool. We do it everywhere we go and this time, I totally forgot about sunscreen!

Pullman boasting its forte -- architecture --

I have always been an admirer of fine architecture. This Malaya and Sarawakian style amazes me. It borders colonial but not at all like our traditional Islamic architecture. The overall modern feel makes me feel quite like a tourist!

So night comes and my stomach growls.

Mr J enjoying his lamb as usual, me on pasta -- Then my greed ordered another Pizza and a bottle of wine. O.O

That night Mr J snored before the movie ended and I knew he has been working on this plan for some time and it melts my heart away to know that he can't even open his eyes long enough to get to finish up his "lives" on Candy Crush.... =.=

It was a nice day all in all, and I planned to treat Mr J with a real full body massage on the next day. These are lethal masseuse, not to mention their great attention to detail.......

So the next morning we had a BIG breakfast before heading over to Scott Garden at Old Klang Road.

Oh how I love hash browns in the morning! I'm a big breakfast eater, btw.

I made a reservation at Estuary Medispa that morning itself and what crazy luck I had! For 1st time customers, we get 50% on the 2nd customer. Something we found out only after we settled down in the parlour.

All in all, it was only RM207 for 2 hours, for 2 pax! The session was worth every cent, and to hear Mr J growl out of pain is priceless.

Satisfied, we left Scott Garden and it was the greatest birthday celebration for a very, very long time. I told Mr J that all I want for birthday is to spend quality time with him, wherever we are and whatever we are doing. To me, this birthday is the greatest of all and I'm happy enough just to be pampered like this. I have not been pampered many times in my life and the joy from these two days can carry me for the rest of my life.

Mr J then said that this is not all and he has made dinner reservations for both of us, in this mysterious restaurant to end my birthday celebration and we have to be there at 8pm. Not earlier, not later.

Fishy eh? Anyway since Mr J is so up for that restaurant, I shall just take my time to doll up. I'll tell you about what happened next in another post :) To be continued...
