Cheryl the Snow Queen

So this is the Frozen-inspired gown I made for Cheryl for her Frozen party -- which was put together by her loving Mommy and Uncle Brian. Nowadays a kid's birthday is a big thing, okay!

Last Saturday, Mr J and I were on Uncle and Aunty duty, helping out the couple make this party a success. Most of all, we hope she still remembers this Frozen party many years down the road...

Here's baby Cheryl prancing around in the dress - Isn't she precious?

Top of the dress is painfully sequined by yours truly with a semi-circle skirt to go with the flowy theme. The original Elsa dress has a not-children-friendly-aka-very-high slit, so the one I made for Cheryl is children-friendly with  straps instead of sleeves to facilitate her running about. Also the organza cape is attached to her wrists so that she can swing the cape and sing, "The cold never bothered me anyway.."

The dress and cape still flowy before the party began. Then after a few hours of running, the dress is officially drennnnnnnnnched. -______- Still, nothing beats a running queen!
