Virgin Trip to China

The last two weeks have been hectic beyond my power to withstand, and I could scarcely imagine those who need to endure emotional stress above it all.

Potentially losing a family member labels everything else secondary. Then again, my task was more of a chauffeur and coordinator. That story will be told some other day.

Prior to the rolling tears, it was my one-week trip in China. Can't say much but I must put down a note to myself to never visit China again.

My claustrophobic self did not do so well in the nation bursting with population overflowing to the rest of the world. For my ancestors were from this part of the world. In a world where you cannot be someone without winning, and cannot make six of your elders be proud to have produced you.

Every child is so precious, pampered and SPOILED because every child born in China takes up the responsibility of caring for two sets of grandparents and his/her own parents. Even breathing is a competition there.

For now, I thank God for brave great-grandparents.

Amidst the chaos and contempt I have for mega-nation, I must say I enjoyed the company of Mommy and Dajie in Shanghai, and would do it again for them.
