I have been expressing my discontentment with people going overboard with their wedding. Like the article said, the money they could have spent on a wedding can be easily used as a downpayment. Here's a quick summary of how much a wedding will likely cost:
Groom's Suit - RM1,000
Bridal Gown - RM3,000
Ceremony - RM5,000
Wedding Dinner - RM30,000
All these are monies payable to bridal houses, hotels and restaurants. We're not talking about photography, hair & make up artist, bridesmaids' dresses, props, songs, and all other minute details.
This is just ridiculous. Since when the celebration of a joyous matrimony requires a hole in the pocket? Pffft.
