Rock Bottom 2013

As promised, this is my streak of bad luck and I have just spent ten minutes boiling inside me and finally couldn't contain it but to call Mr J and wail like a hungry baby. See, I have my reasons and it has all built up till today.

It all started here - Car Window Smashed in Publika just the night before the event starts tomorrow morning at 5am:

So, an idiot smashed the window just to see what is inside. There were a lot of bags and a speaker which is not so portable, so he left. That's kind of moronic and idiotic for a thief-wannabe who just wanted to see what is inside without the proper devices to tell him if there is at least a laptop inside. That is not all.

I then had two problems: One, how to clean up this mess; Two, how to use it for tomorrow's shoot? But all in all, I had a nagging feeling about finding out who did this. I mean, it's Publika right, not as if it is Tesco free parking or open parking somewhere in Cheras.

At that time it was 9pm, so we called the management and security to come help us find out who is that idiot. One good thing was they helped to clean up the mess with industrial vacuum and their guards who kinda did a shabby job cleaning but at least they helped. We left Publika at 11pm to do more packing for next day's event, also hoping to get a call from head of the security to tell us who is it, and what next.

So at around 1am at home, I got a call:

HOS: Hello Ms Mok?
Me: Yes, speaking.
HOS: Saya call dari Publika Mall.
Me: Ok. So you dapat cari?
HOS: Saya ingin bagi tahu bahawa saya sudah cari sini sana on CCTV tetapi tak dapat apa-apa pun. Itulah yang saya nak bagi tahu.
Me: Itu saja? So macam mana? So your office takkan buat apa-apa la since I tak buat police report?
HOS: Itulah yang saya nak bagi tahu.
Me: What?!
HOS: Itu sajalah.
Me: Ok. *lost for words*

We were gonna wake up in a few hours' time so I thought to myself, let's just sleep and move on. Whether or not I find that guy is not as important as tomorrow's project. So I gave up and gave in to fatigue.

Side note: In the end we had to pay RM800 for that window and it was not budgeted.

Next day - It all started well until we realized that the venue permissions were crap.
So we had to negotiate with the management at Putrajaya Challenge Park and had to shift our filming location late in the evening. Resulting in a night shoot which we were all not prepared.

Still, our production guys were cool and I was feeling a little better about it. Nothing major happened throughout the after-shoot and press conference so I thought my streak of bad luck was not a streak at all, just an one-off thing. You know what I mean? I mean here and there, there were small matters but I could chill and stop trying to fix things.

Life continued as usual and everything was good until I LOST MY CREDIT CARD and MY CAR IS IMMOBILE. I'll tell you about it tomorrow when I finally get my hands on my replacement card. Till then, I have an irreversible rage boiling deep within me and might just burst out wailing again at the thought of this saga.
