Trust me.

I have had my blackberry for 2 weeks. Prior to blackberry, I have been using a 6120 with the keypad all blurred. In fact, the blackberry I am having now is a second-hand, got it from my friend and the screen is in very bad shape.

Not that I cannot afford to buy a tip-top condition Blackberry in the very first place, more like, I prefer spending the money elsewhere so that I could make more money with the money I have. Phones get depreciated and maybe, lose its value. And I’m not a good caretaker so my things always end up in pretty bad condition.

Basically, if you think entrepreneurs are richer than you are, then you are wrong.

They are often very poor and live with whatever they have, as long as life still goes on. Why? Because we still harbor hopes that the business will grow. Grow. Grow. Grow.

Ok, coming back to what I wanted to say.

Before possessing a blackberry, I am not connected to the world. Facebook, Twitter, blog and whatever that goes on the internet. And I just worked and worked.

Until my friend texted one day, “Eh, why you always disappear!”

I then realized that I’m losing presence. Getting forgotten. My circle of friends live on Facebook, swear by Twitter and blogs. Me? I do none of them. And hence, I disappeared from their world.

One day when I finally updated my Facebook status, I realized that I’m too disconnected to connect to anybody now. They have forgotten how I look like, or do not know how I look like now since I stopped taking new pictures of myself.

Come on, I’m at the prime of my youth! And I’m already outdated? That’s a joke!

This cannot be happening.

This world is conquered by Facebook… and I’ve lost touch?!

And then…. WHAT THE HELL IS FOURSQUARE?!?!

I was depressed. Depressed because I have lost my youth, Angry because I never have enough time, Frustrated because I can’t balance life and work.

Then, Blackberry came into my life and saved me.

Now I can take in orders and check mails at anytime of the day. Get more sales by responding promptly. Update my Facebook Status whenever I feel hungry. Tweet stupid things.

So, I skipped 2 hours in front of my computer after work each day. Take only half an hour to wrap up those to mail out.

This way, I stay connected whenever and wherever. Even when I’m in the car, doing laundry, in the toilet, and also writing for the magazine.

I feel like I’ve been saved from aging.
